Paul Harris once wrote, "In the promotion of understanding, it is important to reach large numbers, non-Rotarians as well as RotDarians, and you cannot reach large numbers privately." This in essence, is the significance of promoting the image of Rotary International.

In order to encourage and assist its clubs in devising and implementing strategies for public relations, District 3830's Public Relations Committee in cooperation with the Rotary Academy conducted a Rotary Public Image Seminar on August 23, 2008.

The seminar involved the mechanics on writing press releases, creating a club website, video and brochure  --  basic public relations materials to inform the public and enhance the image of Rotary. Resource speakers included District Governor Elect Chit Lijauco (District 3820), Philippine Daily Inquirer Columnist Conrad Banal (RC Makati Dasmariñas),  Rtn. Danny Palma (RC Makati Bel-Air), Past District Governor Sonny Coloma, and GML Editor-in-Chief and DGR-PRM Juor Buted (RC Makati Dasmariñas. A panel discussion was likewise conducted with TV Host Marissa Del Mar (RC Makati Nielsen), Health and Wellness Guru Cory Quirino (RC Makati Legaspi), Manila Times College President Klink Ang (RC Makati North), TV Host and Producer Patty Santos (Makati Cristo Rey), and PP Tyrone Paynor (RC Makati San Lorenzo).

The event which was well-attended by club Presidents and Public Relations Chairpersons, sparked the interest and enthusiasm of the participants who undertook to utilize all forms of media to spread the good works of Rotary.
