Ever since the President of our Club was anointed during the District Handover on June 5, 2008, we began preparing for tonight’s event and everyday since then was  filled with excitement!   I must have been the most excited because I know that whatever happens here will reflect on my being Charter President of this young four-year old club.

There were endless revisions to the program.  To the invitation.  To the presentation.

There were frayed nerves.  Unintended miss-ups. And sleepless nights.

We all wanted tonight’s induction to be perfect.

But we know it is not. 

Nothing, for that matter, is.

But what is perfect is the bonding we developed, the teamwork, the camaraderie.

A Charter President’s job is never done.

But it is now. 

Because Real Good President Mildred Vitangcol is there. 

Because, with or without her formal inauguration, she has already proven to one and all, in only three months that she has taken over our Club, just what an outstanding leader we have in our midst.

Beauty and brains.  Excellent resources. Most of all, an unparalleled passion for service. 

How blessed can our Club be!
