Up to the final games held last Oct. 12, 2008 at the Mall of Asia, the District 3830 10-Pin Bowling Tournament was full of thrills and excitement. Four teams battled closely for top honors until RC Muntinlupa proved their supremacy over the lanes and finally emerged as the Champion Team with 243.62 points. The RC Las Piñas bowlers garnered 219.76 points for the first runner-up post and, with just a few pin falls down, RC Rizal Southwest logged 216.26 points for a second runner-up finish.

Just a week ago at the tightly fought Masters Final Series, RCMD’s Babes Tanseco finally ruled the Men’s Championship with 1,357 points. Russel Ruiz of RC Muntinlupa was first runner-up with 1,329 point while Edgar Barroga of RC Parañaque East finished as second runner-up with 1,314 points.
The Ladies’ Division was equally exciting with only a few points separating the winners, the runner-up positions had to be settled by a two-frame roll-off. Eventually, Tess Monzon of RC Las Piñas was declared champion with 1,231 points. Evelynn Alvarado of RC Makati Greenbelt was first runner-up with 1,176 points while Myra Barroga of RC Parañaque East with 1,176 points was the second runner-up.
A total of 11 clubs from the district vied for honors in the bowling tournament, which include the two host clubs Makati Dasmariñas and Rizal Southwest, and participating clubs Makati, Makati Greenbelt, Makati Paseo de Roxas, Makati Bonifacio, Parañaque East (2 teams fielded), Parañaque South, Parañaque Southwest, Muntinlupa and Las Piñas.
The winners were awarded trophies and medals by DG Boyet Limon assisted by Pres Lynnette Tan and Pres Abet Nolido of host clubs RC Rizal Southwest and RC Makati Dasmarinas, respectively, and Tournament Chair Rene Reyes also of Rizal Southwest.
This year’s tournament was sponsored by Capsulac, Eton Properties, Facial Care Center for Men, YJC Beauty & Slim Center and JC Function Hall.
