The D3830 TRF Testimonial Dinner held last Nov. 18, 2008 at the Hotel Intercon, Makati City, was hugely a successful affair.  Following is DG Boyet’s letter/report on the event, as earlier circulated in the real3830 eGroup.

My Dear Real Good Presidents , my fellow Rotarians:

Last night's TRF Dinner was excellent and a huge success marked by an attendance of 250 members and guests.  Thank you for being there.

I am extending my deepest thanks to all of you who have responded to my call to contribute either for the first time or for sustaining your contributions this year.  I wish to thank our Paul Harris this year and or new Major Donors as well: PDG Butch Francisco, PP Carlos del Rosario, CP Sonie Zamora and PP Gilda Lim.

Our drive for the past two days  brought us 51 Rotarians who  made payment yesterday or gave their check payments last night  for their matching PHF with PDG Alex Huang or PP Raffy Garcia. Several more have made pledges for the offer to match PHF at $500.

We learned from  PDG Mel Salazar of D3810 that we are now number one in contribution to the TRF Foundation for the first quarter of this Rotary Year and I thank you for your effort  for this District achievement.  Let us all do our best to sustain our goals for TRF.

I congratulate RC Makati for hosting the TRF Dinner event with special mention to Pres. Larry Boyer who was ably supported by PDG Tony Quila, our TRF Overall Chair, TRF Dinner Chair Chito Cantada, VP Mon Diokno and, most especially, IPP Pepito Bengzon who did a lot of all around job making sure that our event will be a success.

Once again, I would like to thank all my Real Good Presidents and their club members, all the district officers for their wonderful support to the Rotary Foundation.
