Opening the program, District Dir. Randy Pabona (RAC KAPWA) led the invocation and was followed by the opening remarks of DRC Lilibeth who brought more glee to the kids with her inspirational words.  The program was emceed by Pres. Mennen Gonzales (RAC Makati).

DRR Cathy introduced the host clubs and stressed that children, more than anyone else, should be happy during the Christmas season.  Together with Dir. Randy and other Rotaractors, she facilitated games for the kids, which included “Hep-hep-hooray” (as seen on a TV noontime show), the breath-exhausting “Longest Merry Christmas,” and the ever-fun “Stop Dance.”   The SIBAMP Interactors presented a dance number, which added more merriment to the already festive atmosphere.

Pres. Angel Benavente (RAC SIBAMP) gave the closing remarks as the representative of her dad, Badong Benavente, a Kagawad in the community and one of the major sponsors of the project.  The distribution of the gifts not only caused smiles to the recipients’ faces, but brought a sense of deep fulfilment to the hosts as well.   This is because, the Rotaractors knew that generosity is a reward in itself and making children happy on Christmas is, indeed, a priceless achievement.
