The badminton aficionados of D-3830 finally had their showdown this year at the District 3830 Badminton Tournament held at the Yonex Badminton Courts at Liberty Center in Mandaluyong City, last January 11, 2009.  It is one of the most highly awaited sporting and fellowship events of the District.

Participating Rotarians, family members and friends, all vying for the gold and silver medals in four major categories, saw action in four hours of exciting matches.  It was a fierce show of endurance and competitive skills soliciting ecstatic cheers from the spectators.

Governor Boyet Limon and District Secretary Rene Aguirre gamely graced the event by leading the opening ceremonies.  They were joined by DCC Rey Madrid and Pres. Randy Perez of Host RC Makati Metro, for the ceremonial serve, signaling the start of the games.

A total of 37 teams/pairs registered and played, representing 13 clubs from D-3830.  The biggest contingents came from RC Makati Dasmariñas and RC Makati, followed by RCs Makati Metro, Makati Nielsen, Makati J. Together with DG Boyet Limon and the district officers, the tournament organizers and host club RC Makati Metro, led by Pres.
