D3830 Holds Rotaract Photo and Doll Collection Exhibit March 12, 2009, Parañaque City

Rotaract District 3830, in celebration of the 41st World Rotaract Week, opened the International Photo and Doll Collection Exhibit last Mar. 9, 2009, at SM Bicutan, Paranaque City. With the theme, “Children of Today, Hope of Tomorrow,” the exhibit showcases photos of children around the world and a collection of dolls of different nationalities from countries where Rotaract clubs exist.

District Governor Boyet Limon led the ribbon-cutting to officially open the celebration of the World Rotaract Week in the Philippines. DG Boyet encouraged all Rotarians and Rotaractors to continue implementing and supporting Rotary projects to help reduce child mortality in the country in keeping with Rotary International’s 2008-2009 theme “Make Dreams Real.
District Rotaract Representative Cathy Gonzales, on the other hand, thanked the Rotaract Clubs from D3830, as well as those from other Districts, for participating in the exhibit and lending their collections of children’s photos. Thirteen Rotary districts have participated, 7 from the Philippines and six from other countries, such as Australia and Nepal. This is the second time that D3830 is holding the exhibit through host club Rotaract Club of Parañaque-East Paragon, who is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Parañaque East.
Present to grace the event were DCC Vhell Arias, DRC Lilibeth De La Cruz, DIC Jojo Josol, RC Parañaque East Pres. Alex Ty and other Rotarians from his Club. The Photo and Doll Collection Exhibit will ran from March 9 -12 and transferred to Polytechnic University of the Philippines Taguig on March 13, for further public viewing.
