The day was perfect for an educational trip in the city, where they first all had a sumptuous lunch at the popular Luyong Restaurant, which serves the best "pancit with lechon" in town.  After lunch, the group visited the Marikina City Hall where the Korean kids had a close look at the city’s local government offices.  They were warmly accommodated by the city officials.

We also visited several unique places of interest and educational showcases of the Marikina, such as, the Doll Museum, Shoe Museum, Miniature Museum and the Belen Museum.  A visit to a local shoe factory, GIBI Shoes, showed the Koreans kids how export quality shoes are made by hand, the pride of Marikina and the Philippines.  They were amazed seeing the world’s biggest pair of shoes, which is certified by the  Guinness Book of World Records.

The tour was ended by a shopping spree at the Riverbanks Mall Shoe Expo.
